ALPHA Course

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. No pressure. No follow up. No charge.

Typically Alpha has around ten sessions and includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts. Alpha really is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage debate and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, honest and informal environment. 

The next course starts with the Alpha Party on 15 April 2024 at 6.30 pm and the course will then run weekly from 22 April to 8 July 2024, except for Spring Bank Holiday Monday 27 May.   In addition there will be a special session provisionally scheduled for Saturday 8 June 2024 (morning and afternoon), of which more details will be given to those attending the course.   If you come to the Alpha Party, you can then decide whether to sign up for the course.  If you cannot attend the Alpha Party, you are still welcome to join the course from 22 April.

The Marriage Preparation Course

The Marriage Preparation Course is a series of five sessions designed to help couples develop strong foundations for a lasting marriage, covering:

• Expressing feelings and learning to listen
• The importance of commitment
• Resolving conflict
• Keeping love alive and developing a fulfilling sexual relationship
• Talking about goals and values

While the course is based on Christian principles, it is designed for couples with or without a church background

The Marriage Course

The Marriage Course runs for 7 weeks, the evenings involving a meal for those able to join us, followed by DVD talks and time for couples to discuss issues raised in the talks. All talking between couples is done in private and no one is expected to share anything.

The Marriage course is designed to enhance all marriages whether you have a good marriage or know there are issues you need to talk through.

• Resolving Conflict
• The Power of Forgiveness
• The Impact of Family ~ Past and Present
• Good Sex
• Love in Action

While the course is based on Christian principles, it is designed for couples with or without a church background
