Gateway Church Joss and GillNorthumberland is led by Joss and Gill Bray. They have lived in Shilbottle since August 2007 and ran the Kidz Klub in the village for 5 years.

Joss has previously been an elder of a Newfrontiers church in Sunderland and a United Reformed church in Newcastle. He is a doctor specialising in helping people with drug and alcohol problems. Previously, he has been a psychiatrist and a GP. Joss served on Shilbottle Parish Council from May 2013 to November 2014.

Gill was a maths teacher in a local middle school until July 2014. She has been involved in leading worship for many years and headed up the Kidz Klub team in Shilbottle. She is the treasurer of the Shilbottle Community Hall Management Committee and is involved in organizing and running events at the hall.

Joss and Gill both enjoy playing music and also play badminton once a week with a group of friends in Shilbottle Community Hall. They have two sons, Sam and Luke, at university. They are passionate that God wants to build His church and that church doesn’t need to be complicated or big to be effective.

They are members of the Evangelical Alliance.
